Introduction 

I began my placement at Extranomical Adventures at the beginning of June, 2007. Extranomical is a small tour operator based in the South of Market neighbourhood of San Francisco, California. We operate tours on a daily basis throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, and further afield specialising in smaller group tours to Yosemite National Park, Wine Country and of course, San Francisco. My job involves all aspects of the company's day-to-day operations, but mainly focusing on online marketing through advertising, sponsored search results, SEO and online promotions. I have also worked on numerous print-based projects, such as advertisements in SF Guide and brochures, as well as writing programs for office use such as migrating our customer satisfaction surveys from an email based system to a PHP and MySQL database solution.
